Those dog days aren’t over; they’ve only just begun! From Paws in the Park to taking in a movie, you can do it all with your dog this summer- check out our pet event guide.
Agricultural shows and festivals
There’s dozens of those on all around the country throughout the summer months; and dogs can be a part of them with pet corners and dog shows at almost every country show or festival. The kids love entering the family pet into the show (not for the faint-hearted though; both kid and pooch might need major pampering after being snubbed by the judges!).

The wackiest – you can even bring your dog to the movies…
It’s true! Movie Junction Drive-in cinema at Fota Retail Park in Cork is dog-friendly.
A spokesperson for the movie junction confirmed it to Dog Friendly Cork saying “so long as the dogs are well behaved as it is your own car we don’t mind…”
Dog Friendly Cork is a fantastic initiative, with a facebook page for dog-lovers in Cork who are looking to share information and tips on pet-friendly accommodation, parks, walks, beaches, shops, restaurants; pet-friendly anything really. The FB address is http://www.facebook.com/dogfriendlycork.
